On a more square monitor it'll be more noticeable at a high FOV, while on a widescreen monitor it'll be less noticeable to the right and left.

I keep mine at 85, and that causes a little of the distortion on my monitor, but it's not too noticeable.

That's basically how FOV works you play on a flat screen (most of us do, at least, lol), so to make it so that you can see more than what's directly ahead of you the edges need to look a little distorted since your whole monitor will work a little like a fish-eye lense. It was a real pc-killer when it released, believe it or not.Īs for the distortion, you can probably adjust your field of vision in MGE.

Morrowind probably just wasn't intended to let people do that. Also I'm still having occasional crashes, but they seem to happen mostly when I alt+tab or exit the game.Īlt-tabbing always crashes Morrowind for me. Maybe when I click the icon it opens the launcher without steam, then when I click play it tries to start the game which opens the launcher through steam? No big deal. _- Why are there two different fps counters?Īny idea why I click play on my launcher and it reopens once so I have to click play again before it starts? Or any idea how to turn off the weird visual distortion that makes everything stretch out near the edges of my screen?Įdit: I think the launcher problem may have to do with steam. ini tab and "fps counter" under the render state tab. Took me a while to figure out that there is "show fps" under the. Can anyone help me out?Įdited by ChampionOfHircine, - 09:27 AM. I couldn't even figure out how to post on the forum for the mod because half of it is in Italian. It's getting a bit annoying and I'm wondering what's causing it and how to fix it.Īnd third, I want to get rid of the fps counter in the top left corner and depth of field if possible. Second, I'm getting a blue line occasionally flashing across the horizon while I'm outside. My computer is less than a month old and I spent almost a grand on it so I doubt it's that my specs are too low. Just wondering what might be causing the crashes. I reinstalled the game and the overhaul with lower settings and after minimal testing I found that may have fixed it. I tried disabling all the esp's it installed and it still crashed. I have no idea why, it seemed to mostly happen when I leave a building (tested in Balmora and Vivec). I downloaded this mod and it's pretty awesome but I'm having a few problems/issues with it.įirst, it was making my game crash a lot. I just got Morrowind, haven't played it since Xbox back in the day.
